I have found myself with more time on my hands over the past five years, as my partner retired from one profession and started another that keeps him away from home a great deal of time.
I have always been interested in crafts and handiwork - starting from my teenage years. My passion is yarn, although I have worked with ceramics, needlepoint, floral design, stenciling, rug hooking, sewing and even macrame - (tons of macrame back in the 70's).
I had the luxury of being a stay at home mom for seven years - and spent time making outfits and clothing for my two boys - who are now grown men with children of their own.
Luckily the birth of grandchildren brought me back to the world of yarn and crafts - and I've spent a great deal of time over these past years crafting for the grandbabies.
I'll be posting some creations from my early days.. and then move to the current time - where I've learned how to create amigurami - fun stuff. Also because I now have the pleasure of granddaughters - I am making princess tiaras and tutus... and I love it all.
